About UGOT Inc.

U GOT DANCE is part of a bigger production

U GOT DANCE is part of the U GOT Inc. family. U GOT Inc. is a socially progressive company founded in January 2008 to provide children and youth with enrichment programs designed to encourage and promote physical activity, healthy living, creativity and intellectual advancement. U GOT DANCE is the first of the company’s programs, followed by U GOT DRAMA, with additional programs in development. Over the past 12 months, U GOT operated programs in more than 275 schools and childcare centres, making it the leader in this growing marketplace.

The Growing Need

The benefits to children of being involved in extracurricular activities are well documented. Numerous studies confirm that children who participate in after-school programs enjoy an increased sense of accomplishment, competence, and self-esteem. Participation also lowers children’s risk of becoming depressed, using drugs and alcohol, and experiencing other behavioral problems. These findings are corroborated by many authorities in the field, including the 2009 Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth in Canada issued by Active Healthy Kids, Promising After School Programs, a three year study conducted by Policy Studies Associates, and a study by the Nellie Mae Education Foundation.
